In our film, we explore the abusive power that men exert over women — on their bodies and their minds — as perceived through the foggy lens of time. The past and the present are overlaid in order to challenge the illusion which separates them. The present is already past. The past is always present.
Who was Jack then, and who is he now? What was abuse like then, and what is like now?

27 second chain project by Various Artists
This film is the end result of the 27 second chain project, a collaborative artistic experiment which was made by fifteen students, all based in Cambridge, over a number of weeks. We started with a 27 second piece of music, which someone else made 27 seconds of film to match. We took out the music and gave the film to someone else, who scored it with 27 seconds of fresh music, which we then gave to a filmmaker, and so on.

Unbounded by Janina Mistecky
This film is about the diversity of the Alps regardless of whether the German, Austrian or Swiss Alps. In the first stage it visually demonstrates death, as a permanent companion, as well as myths that surround the outlands of the Alps. This visual story will be accompanied by music and sound effects. The second stage represents the beauty of life and the cycle that comes with it. Besides showing the multifarious parts of the Alps it also shows that sometimes in life we just have to stop and take in the moment that life presents to us. The end of this visual story is composed of a flashback to the first stage to close the cycle of life and death.

wavy head by Max Shoham
Wavy Head is my first documentary. When I was 9 months old, a team of doctors cut into my skull, removed my forehead, put my eye-sockets on a table, reshaping my face completely. This caused a year of tension and terror in my family, and gave me scars still visible today, yet I can’t remember a single thing about the whole ordeal. It was therefore irresistible to make a film investigating this personally life changing event that seemed to only change the lives of my family. The movie’s plan was simple: I’d interview my mom and dad, reconnect with the surgeons, throw in some animation to tie it up and maybe even have a touching moment where I thank Dr. Forrest, the head of the Cranio surgery department at Sick Kids, for saving my life. But, as I learned over the course of the last few months, making this documentary was not as tightly controlled as a pre-planned script. My initial ideas of chronicling my gratitude for having my life back, getting a second chance, were derailed when I learned during the interviews that my condition was probably not fatal.
